Air Import/Export Agent - Miami Office

This is a direct hire, full time role within Global Freight Forwarder for our office in Miami.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Coordinate export documentation for international Air shipments from origin to destination.

Assist & coordinate with the import department Air shipments.

Ensure that export regulatory requirements are met (Responsible for AES transmission and compliance regulations).

Fulfill all stipulated key milestones.

Maintain accurate costs and profits by overseeing and completing proper billing to clients based on agreed pricing.

Agree shipping costs with the service provider with management approval.

Obtain and create quotes for shipments and source best method of transportation to customer and Lamaignere worldwide alliance offices request.

Requirements

3+ Years in Freight Forwarding Industry.

Ability to communicate and provide great customer service.

Being able to work independently and part of a team.

Knowledge of local and international carriers and routes.

Able to cope under pressure and meet deadlines.

Great organizational skills.

Outgoing and forward-thinking mindset.

Ability to navigate and work efficiently using IT software.

Desired Qualifications

CargoWise 1.

3+ years experience in managing air freight shipments will be considered.

High School Diploma or Bachelor's.

Fluent in English and Spanish.

$47,000 - $50,000 a year - Full-time
