According to several researchers, the flow of containers from Europe to South America has increased by 9% up to march 2017 since early 2014 and, on the other hand, those exported from South America have increased by 2,1% in 2016.
Our main focus are Chile and Spain, where Lamaignere has its own offices to handle export and import operations from both countries.
Spain has recently become one of our greatest investors thanks to strong political relations that have agreed on a market deregulation and the results of the export and import operations between both countries have developed quite significantly.
Although logistics in Chile is still a path to development, import and export operations between Chile and Spain have been likely to increase up to three times in the past 10 years after the EU-Chilean Association Agreement.
According to data obtained from The Spanish Institute for Foreign Trade (
ICEX), imports from Spain have gone over 1.388,5m €, and exports have increased up to 1.396.2 m €. These results are definitely positive for Chile as we will have a trade surplus of 7,7m € in total.

Logistics in Chile: A path to development.
Located in South America, Chile is considered to have a great potential for both European and Spanish companies and there are multiple benefits for other countries to develop their business operations with them.
Data obtained during these years are quite positive, although there is still a lot to
improve. However, the country’s perfect geographic location is a plus to connect Chile and the rest of South and Central America by air, sea or land, and even with Europe and Asia.
Furthermore, a new business facilitation unit for foreign markets has been recently created to promote exports and imports easily by using Sicex, an integrated system for foreign trade.
With several branches in
Chile,
Mexico,
USA,
Spain and
Korea, Lamaignere connects different continents in such an efficient way that we help the Chilean market reach other markets in America, Europe and Asia.
