As part of the international event “The European Union-MERCOSUR Agreement: Challenges and Opportunities for the Regions of Uruguay, Catalonia, and Spain as a Whole", Lamaignere Uruguay played a prominent role in the conference, which brought together experts and business leaders to discuss the impact of the historic trade agreement between the two blocs.
This meeting, held in Uruguay, focused on how the creation of the world's largest free trade area, with more than 800 million consumers, is redefining economic and logistical dynamics. Among the strategic lines addressed, the role of ports, logistics, and free trade zones was one of the central themes, given that they are key points for optimizing the flow of goods on this new transatlantic route.
In this context, Patricia Bermúdez, CEO of Lamaignere Uruguay and member of the Board of Directors of the Official Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Uruguay, participated in the practical workshop “Ports, free trade zones, and logistics for transatlantic trade.” During her presentation, Bermúdez highlighted the importance of process digitization, supply chain optimization, and the incorporation of innovative technologies in customs management as key factors in ensuring a faster and more efficient flow of goods between Europe and MERCOSUR.
Lamaignere Uruguay's presence at this forum reaffirms its commitment to developing logistics solutions that facilitate the internationalization of companies and make the most of the opportunities offered by this new commercial framework.
