Lamaignere successfully delivers a large-volume cargo charter in a highly complex and uncertain environment

During October, Lamaignere managed a highly complex logistics project, shaped by customs restrictions, last-minute operational changes, and a particularly sensitive geopolitical context in the Middle East, the final destination region of the cargo. The operation confirmed the company’s ability to successfully handle extraordinary shipments under critical deadlines.

The shipment consisted of a main piece measuring 12 metres in length and weighing 4,500 kg, accompanied by eight additional packages of varying dimensions. A charter flight from another European airport had initially been contracted. However, once all ground operations had been mobilized, export clearance was denied by the customs authorities at origin due to the nature of the cargo, forcing a complete redesign of the logistics plan. Lamaignere’s team of professionals immediately evaluated alternative departure options within Spain, while the evolving situation at destination required transport plans to be adjusted on more than one occasion.

Faced with this scenario, Lamaignere identified a new solution in record time: a charter flight operated with a Boeing 747-400F, an aircraft ideally suited for oversized and high-volume cargo. Execution required the rapid coordination of three full truckloads to the airport, cargo handling and acceptance procedures, and continuous supervision of the flight through to its final destination. The shipment arrived within the committed timeframe, before additional operational restrictions came into effect.

This project further strengthens Lamaignere’s position in the end-to-end management of special cargo and highly complex logistics projects. It demonstrates that operational flexibility, rapid decision-making, and international coordination enable the company to ensure its customers meet their commitments, even in highly uncertain and challenging environments.
