Mr. Francisco Herrero León receives the Gold Medal of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Recognition of a Life Dedicated to Business Service

At a ceremony held last Friday, January 30, the president of Lamaignere, Mr. Francisco Herrero León, received the Gold Medal of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce, a distinction that acknowledges his extensive career and his decisive contribution to strengthening the chamber system and the business fabric of Seville and Spain.

The president of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce, José Luis Bonet, highlighted our President as “a benchmark for Spanish and Ibero-American chambers and an example of social leadership.” The president of the Regional Government, Juanma Moreno, emphasized his ability to anticipate challenges and his role in promoting Seville internationally. The mayor, José Luis Sanz, described the award as “well deserved for a life devoted to serving businesses and boosting the productive sector.”

Mr. Francisco Herrero León, who joined the Plenary in 1977 and has presided over the Chamber since 2006, has carried out extensive national and international work grounded in cooperation, institutional loyalty, and a strong vocation for service. During his speech, he expressed his gratitude for the recognition and reaffirmed his commitment to a Chamber that is “dynamic, useful, and future‑oriented,” highlighting recent progress in internationalization, innovation, sustainability, and support for SMEs.
